Due to strong growth our client needed an Engagement Manager to join the commercial strategy area of the business. As well as having fantastic analytical skills they needed a candidate who was very creative, as their specialisation is innovation.
After consultation with the client it was decided that the Proactive service would be best suited. We focussed our search on candidates working in boutique consultancies in New York, the client had previously found that candidates from traditional consultancies were generally not creative enough. We spoke with over 30 candidates and submitted 10 profiles.
The client met five candidates which resulted in them making an offer to one. The successful candidate had strong innovation, growth strategy and new product launch experience with clients worldwide, and had recently completed an MBA. He was a very effervescent character who fitted in well with their culture.
The candidate joined in April 2017 and is enjoying working on creative strategy projects.
Since our initial success we have placed 2 innovation consultants at our client and continue to work closely together to aid their growth.
