The Problem

We had been working successfully with this client, headquartered in New York City, for several years. After building a solid pipeline of projects on the West Coast they were looking to establish a permanent presence during COVID. This was to begin with a Senior Manager/Director level hire.

What The Client Needed

They needed a candidate with strong consulting experience across strategy and operations, who could lead on flagship projects whilst also contribute to business and practice development. Candidates needed to be comfortable in a start-up environment and a desire to contribute far more than just project delivery and sales.

The Search – Proactive

Given the unique requirements of the role, we ruled out a number of candidates through our experienced team’s own assessment on video calls. To begin we approached 100’s of possible candidates across consulting and industry, and then submitted 5 who we thought were the best fit for the role.

Results

The client offered one of the 5 submitted, who ultimately did not take the role. With 5 quality candidates submitted, we were able to secure another excellent option.

The Future

The client now has an established presence in San Francisco where we have subsequently placed further mid-level candidates. Following the success of this location we are now assisting the client with the same role for a new Florida office.
