The problem

Our client was creating a team which was the same calibre as McKinsey, Bain and BCG and finding it hard to attract these candidates who wanted a boutique experience rather than MBB or Private Equity.

Senior Consultants with strategy experience and Principals with extensive Financial Services experience


The search - proactive

We created a created a shortlist of 75 names in New York who has top academics and fast progression largely within Financial Services consulting in New York. We had several 30 minutes calls and/or skype meetings with each candidate discussing experience, motivations, and career aspirations. We submitted 21 candidates who are all interviewed and passed the case study. The challenge was all the candidates received multiple offers from Private Equity, Industry and MBB so the speed and understanding of the candidates’ motivations were critical.


Results

They hired a Manager from McKinsey with 6 years of experience, and two Senior Consultants with 3 years of experience from Deloitte and EY-Parthenon.
